Young Teen From Bridge Family Center Is Located

Jessenia Santiago, 14, is safe after leaving Farmington Avenue youth facility Sunday evening.

A 14-year-old girl who apparently walked away from The Bridge Family Center on Farmington Avenue Sunday was found unharmed Tuesday, an official for the family services facility said.

"She's safe and sound," said Margaret Hann, executive director of The Bridge Family Center.

Hann declined to say where Jessenia Santiago was located.

had received information that she was possibly in the Manchester area, Lt. David Dubiel said.

Santiago packed three suitcases and was last seen at the youth facility at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dubiel said. She apparently left the facility without shoes.

The Bridge Family Center is a nonprofit outreach center for at-risk children, youth and families at 1022 Farmington Ave. Among its services, the center offers a shelter for runaway and homeless youth, according to its website.
