Police: West Hartford Man Threatens to 'Blow Head Off' Plow Driver

A Hugh St. man is charged after threatening to get his gun and use it against a man plowing his West Hartford street.

A West Hartford man has been arrested following an incident Friday in which he he told a plow driver he would "get my gun and blow your head off."

According to West Hartford Police, Timothy A. Moynihan, 63, of 14 Hugh St., West Hartford, threatened a West Hartford Department of Public Works plow driver on Friday night during the snowstorm.

Police said that Moynihan did not think that the employee was "plowing Hugh St. up to the standards of the arrestee."

Moynihan was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening. He was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.

According to a report in the Hartford Courant, Moynihan does not have a pistol permit and does not own any firearms.
