This Week: Motor Vehicle Violations, Drug and DUI Charges

Police arrest log for June 6-12, 2011. The following arrest information was supplied by the West Hartford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Prospect Avenue/Kane Street: Joshua Beamer, 32, 135 Butternut Street Apt. C, Middletown, was charged with failure to keep drug in original container, failure to wear a seat belt, two counts of illegal possession, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 6. Police said he was arrested during a motor vehicle stop when he was found to be in possession of narcotic medications. Bond was set at $5,000.

I-84 /Prospect Avenue: Walter E. Fabrycki, 41, 704 Franklin Avenue, Hartford, was charged with failure to keep drug in original container, two counts of illegal possession, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 6. Police said he was arrested during a motor vehicle stop when he was found to be in possession of various narcotics. Bond was set at $1,000.

103 Raymond Road: Rafael Sanchez, 28, 113 Hillcrest Avenue Apt. B, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and injury/risk/impairing morals of a minor on June 6. Police said he turned himself in on a domestic warrant. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Richard Kondzielaski, 56, 99611 Overseas Highway #113, Key Largo, FL, was charged with first degree criminal trespass on June 6. Police said he was arrested for trespassing at Chatfield. Bond was set at $10,000.

New Britain Avenue/Colonial Street: Jolanta I. Fus-Tompkins, 29, 212 Curtis Street, New Britain, was charged with failure to wear a seat belt, illegal possession, interfering with an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with or fabricating on June 7. Police said she was arrested during a motor vehicle stop when she was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and 1.5 grams of cocaine concealed on her person. No bond was set.

West Hartford: Brendan Sullivan, 25, 5 Colonial Drive, Enfield, was charged with illegal possession and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 7. Police said he was stopped due to suspicious activity and found to be in possession of heroin and a needle. Bond was set at $1,000.

103 Raymond Road: Rosa Rivera, 32, 127 Hillcrest Avenue Apt. G, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on June 7. Police said she turned herself in on a warrant out of Hartford. Bond was set at $500.

Avon Police Department: Ryan M. Hagedorn, 34, 60 High Ridge Hollow, Avon, was charged with two counts of third-degree forgery on June 7. Police said he was taken into custody from Avon Police. No bond was set.

I-84/Kane Street: Don L. Hopkins, 46, 200 Kensington Avenue Apt. B, New Britain, was charged with failure to have tail lamps, illegal possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 7. Bond was set at $2,500.

I-84 West/Exit 39A: Matthew I. Albano, 27, 19 Brookside Drive, Southington, was charged with failure to obey control signal and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 8. Police said he was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped and admitting to using heroin minutes earlier. Bond was set at $500.

1500 New Britain Avenue: Jordan L. James, 22, 27 Crosby Street, was charged with violation of probation on June 8. Police said he was arrested on a violation of probation warrant. Bond was set at $75,000.

South Quaker Lane/Burgoyne Street: Ryan P. McLean, 29, 22 Burgoyne Street, was charged with failure to have lights/devices illuminated, improper passing on bicycle moped, no face protection on a motorcycle, operating with registration/license/suspended/revoked and operating while under the influence on June 9. Bond was set at $2,500.

Mountain Road/Boulevard: Matthew S. Storm, 18, 31 Westminster Drive, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree criminal mischief, illegal dumping and second-degree reckless endangerment on June 9. Police said while walking down Mountain Road, he knocked over trash cans into the street, preventing the flow of traffic. Bond was set at $10,000.

Sedgwick Road/Ridgewood Road: Dylan G. Rehmer, 19. 23 Sunset Terrace, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree criminal mischief, illegal dumping and second-degree reckless endangerment on June 9. Police said he was seen by a witness knocking over several trash cans. When police arrived, there were several trash cans knocked over and placed in the roadway. There was also a newspaper mailbox pulled out, said police. Bond was set at $10,000.

West Hartford: Hector Rivera, 22, 71 Symco Drive, New Britain, was charged with fourth-degree larceny on June 9. Police said he turned himself in on an active warrant for larceny (employee theft). No bond was set.

West Hartford: Steven P. Murtha, 56, 291 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and public indecency on June 9. Bond was set at $7,500.

South Main Street/Pebblebrook Drive: Mark M. Roscio, 28, 26 Chaplin Street, Newington, was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and operating while under the influence on June 10. Bond was set at $500.

New Britain: Mary A. Ramos, 21, 131 Kensington Avenue, New Britain, was charged with failure to respond/infraction on June 10. Police said she was picked for an active warrant for failure to respond to an infraction. Bond was set at $150.

Albany Avenue/Huntington: Nicole A. Mase, 19, 164 Coe Avenue Apt. E1, East Haven, was charged with illegal possession near a school, illegal possession and interfering with an officer on June 10. Police said she was found to be in possession of cocaine and suboxone during a motor vehicle stop. Bond was set at $5,000.

West Hartford: Rufino Cotto, 46, 199 Broad Street, New Britain, was charged with first-degree failure to appear on June 10. Police said he was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $15,000.

Farmington Avenue/Arnold Way: Sean Vine Redshirt, 34, 37 Overhill Avenue, New Britain, was charged with third-degree robbery on June 10. Police said he was taken into custody for third-degree robbery following a disturbance complaint. Bond was set at $50,000.

West Hartford: Jonathan Colon, 18, 60 Tumble Brook Lane, was charged with failure to obey stop sign, failure to drive right, operating while under the influence and reckless driving on June 11. Police said he was arrested for DUI following a motor vehicle accident. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Luke Powers, 18, 87 Lemay Street, was charged with illegal manufacturing, distribution, sale, prescription and illegal possession of marijuana on June 11. Police said they received a complaint of a vehicle occupied by teens who were smoking marijuana. They said Powers was found to be in possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $500.

West Hartford: Tyler J. Hutson, 18, 92 Argyle Avenue, was charged with illegal manufacturing, distribution, sale, prescription and illegal possession of marijuana on June 11. Police said he was found to be in possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $500.

2481 Albany Avenue: Bryan R. Hairston, 30, 12 Sioux Lane, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on June 11. Police said he was stopped on a motor vehicle violation and the strength of four outstanding warrants for failure to appear. Bond was set at $7,000.

20 Argyle Avenue: Timothy J. Kamerud, 28, 805 Falls View Q Road, Manchester, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief on June 12. Police said he was no longer welcome at the Side Bar and kicked a waiting taxi cab. He then attempted to flee the scene, but the cab driver gave chase and called police. Bond was set at $5,000.
