A West Hartford firefighter and her husband were arrested on assault charges early Wednesday reportedly after a "domestic violence" incident in their apartment.

According to WFSB, police responded to their apartment about 1 a.m. July 2 and found the couple both bleeding and suffering facial wounds.

Police arrested Vincent Adell, 47, and Marsha McCurdy, 38, on third-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. Both were treated and released at local hospitals and then held on $25,000 bond each.

Is it really necessary to post pictures?

We had a serious and near disastrous fire in our house in 2004 on Christmas morning. We had just moved in and did not know one of the fire places was improperly vented. Marsha was one of the responding firefighters. Sorry to see her in this spot, we owe her (and the rest of the WeHa FD) a debt of gratitude.
