West Hartford Police Department Releases DWI Statistics
Total DWI crashes increased in 2011
The following information was contained in a press release received from Lt. Jeffrey Rose, Traffic Division.
The West Hartford Police Department has seen an increase in DWI related crashes this 2011 holiday season. Since Dec. 1, 2011, there have been 7 crashes in which there was an alcohol related arrest. There have been 5 additional DWI arrests as the result of motor vehicle stops.
West Hartford police officers are aggressively enforcing DWI laws to keep our streets safe.

To date, WHPD has made 215 DWI arrests in 2011. This is in comparison to 177 total DWI arrests for 2010. DWI Accident comparisons are listed below.
