West Hartford Police are reporting that Angel Rodriguez of Hartford, suspect in a stabbing that took place an apartment at 1171 Boulevard, West Hartford, on Sunday, has been apprehended without incident.
Rodriguez, who West Hartford Police said should be considered "armed and dangerous," was tracked down by his parole officers and remanded on a parole violation.
He is in custody in Hartford for parole violations and the warrant from West Hartford willbe served through the courts, according to Captain Donald Melanson of the West Hartford Police.
Rodriguez's court date has not yet been determined.
West Hartford Police issued a request Monday afternoon for assistance in locating a suspect wanted for a stabbing in a Boulevard apartment on Sunday.
Police said that they were dispatched to a third floor apartment at 1171 Boulevard at 2:10 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing. According to police, the victim was discovered at the scene and transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the stabbing occured during a fight between two male parties at the residence. The suspect fled prior to police arrival, they said.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for Angel Rodriguez, 26, of 496 Prospect Ave., 2nd Floor, Hartford. The warrant seeks to charge Rodriguez with one count of 53a-59 assault in the first degree.
Police aid that the whereabouts of Rodriguez are unknown at this time. and Rodriguez should be considered armed and dangerous.
