The West Hartford Police Department is requesting help from the public in reducing these types of crimes

Police are requesting the public's assistance in reducing burglaries by doing the following:
  • lock your homes and vehicles at all times;
  • take your valuables out of vehicles and do not leave other valuables in plain sight while unattended;
  • keep an eye on your neighbors’ homes and vehicles when they are not around.

In the event of an emergency or if something or someone out of the ordinary in a neighborhood, residents are urged to call 860-523-5203 or 911.

In addition, residents with questions or concerns about basic crime prevention may contact the Community Relations division at 860-523-2013.
