West Hartford Police Logs: November 12 - November 14

The following arrests were made between Nov. 12 and Nov. 14, 2012, and are listed in reverse chronological order. Information was provided by the West Hartford Police Department, 103 Raymond Road. Some charges may stem from multiple arrests; bond listed when available; arrests do not indicate convictions:

NOVEMBER 14

Howard, Kiana, 23, of 34 Grant St., Hartford: Arrested at WalMart; charged with credit card theft, two counts of third-degree identity theft, two counts illegal use of credit card, sixth-degree larceny, two counts receiving stolen goods/services obtained illegally. Bond $10,000.

Mercado, Jose A., 22, of 32 Nepaug St., Hartford: Charged with assault on a peace officer, two counts illegal manufacture/distribution/sale of prescription, two counts illegal possession, interfering with an officer. Police say accused was a passenger in an unregistered motor vehicle and was found with a large quantity of narcotics on his person. He attempted to run from officers, and one officer sustained minor injuries while apprehending Mercado. Bond $125,000.

Michaud, Daniel, 24, of 465 Wolcott St., Apt. 11, Bristol: Charged with illegal possession, operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Perez, Yanelis, 19, of 362 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford: Arrested at New Britain Ave./Hillcrest Ave.; charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond $1,000.

Nails, Charles, 61, of 460B North Main St., Norwich: Charged with fifth-degree larceny. Bond $5,000.

NOVEMBER 13

Ellis, Vincent D., 34, of 215 Branford St., Hartford: Arrested at 64 Fuller Dr.; charged with second-degree breach of peace, risk of injury/impairing morals, operating with suspended/revoked license, operation while under the influence, under 6 without restraint. Police say the accused was seated behind the wheel of a vehicle intoxicated and had a 5-year-old passenger in the rear seat. Bond $75,000. 

Lewis, Anthony R., 55, homeless: Charged with fifth-degree larceny. Bond $5,000.

NOVEMBER 12

Cosme, Samuel, of Putnam St., Hartford: Charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, carry and sale of dangerous weapon. Combined bond $15,000.

Jaworksi, Christine M., 53, of 82 Lawler Rd., West Hartford: Arrested at 103 Raymond Rd.; charged with second-degree failure to appear. Bond $1,500.

Casazza, Matthew S., 27, of 141 West Main St., 2F, Plainville: charged with two counts first-degree failure to appear. Combined bond $50,000.

Christiano, James, 28, of 284 Woodfield Ave., Apt. 11, Plainville: Arrested at 284 Woodfield Ave.; charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, sixth-degree larceny. Combined bond $8,5000.
