West Hartford Police Search for Subway Restaurant Robber

Suspect left with undisclosed amount of cash.

West Hartford police are searching for a robbery suspect who held up the Subway at 932 Farmington Ave. on Friday evening.

According to police, the suspect - described as a white male in his 40s with gray hair, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a faded blue baseball cap and dark shoes - implied he had a weapon, but one was never shown.

The suspect, who left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, was last seen leaving the store on foot going east on Farmington Avenue.

The incident took place around 7:45 p.m., according to police.

Police set up a perimeter and a canine unit responded, but the suspect had not been captured as of 10:45 p.m. Friday.
