According to a release from police, the homeowner heard a loud noise and found a man in the kitchen. The homeowner reportedly tried to restrain the man, who broke away and ran from the home, heading south.
Several officers and dogs responded to search for the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5'8 or 5'10, wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt with SOA or SQA lettered on it. The suspect may have some type of facial hair, police said.
The homeowner said nothing was taken from the home but the back kitchen door, through which the man reportedly entered and left, was damaged.
