Woman Arrested After Assault with Christmas Tree

Police say 19-year-old woman threw Christmas tree at her father.

A 19-year-old woman threw a Christmas tree at her father during an altercation at her parents' home early this morning, police said.

Francheska Terrero was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 62 Boulanger Ave.

Police said that when they arrived at the house around 12:30 a.m., the family's Christmas tree was on its side on the floor and smashed ornaments were strewn around. Terrero was "extremely intoxicated," police said, and had attacked her mother and father with the tree, which she threw at her father. Both her parents suffered minor injuries.
