Building a Relationship With West Hartford's Town Engineer

The "In the Know" series continues Wednesday when Duane Martin gives residents insight into what he does as Town Engineer.

Ever wonder what the Town Engineer does, or even who it is?

The latest of West Hartford's "In the Know" series will give residents answers to these questions and other insights into the critical role the Town Engineer plays in town every day. The event will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the West Hartford Senior Center.

The series was launched to help introduce new faces in several key positions in town government, following the retirement of some longtime employees.

Duane Martin became West Hartford's Town Engineer about a year ago. He replaced Dave Kraus, who retired on Dec. 14, 2012, after 38 years of service with the town.
