Task Force Offers Workshop to Help West Hartford Residents Reduce Energy Costs

Clean Energy Task Force will offer a free workshop next month.

The West Hartford Clean Energy Task Force will offer a free workshop next month entitled "How to Save Energy At Home."

Task force member Roger Smith and Town Energy Specialist Catherine Diviney will be the presenters.

According to a news release, the workshop will provide information for residents to help reduce the burden of high heating prices while at the same time improving home comfort. Real-world experiences will be used as examples.

In addition, the presentation will provide information about avoiding damaging ice dams, incorporating renewable energy, and new state incentives and financing assistance.

“How to Save Energy at Home” will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Town Hall Council Chambers, Room 314, 50 South Main St., West Hartford. Parking in the town lot will be validated for participants.
