U.S. Rep. John Larson to Keynote American Legion Veterans Day Ceremony on Sunday

Ceremony will take place at the West Hartford Veterans Memorial.

The American Legion will host a Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m., at the Connecticut Veterans Memorial West Hartford located at the intersection of Farmington Ave. and North Main St.

Everyone is invited. 

U.S. Congressman John Larson, First Congressional District, will be the keynote speaker.

Other speakers include Moe Fradette, Senior Vice Commander of the American Legion Post 96, Deacon James Hickey of St. Peter Claver Church, Peggy Gray of the West Hartford Commission on Veterans Affairs, Town Councilor Denise Hall, State Senator Beth Bye, and Mayor Scott Slifka.

The national anthem will be sung by B#Sharp of Conard High School and "Taps" will be performed by Peter Roe of the American Legion.
