West Hartford Business Forum

Legislators discuss potential job growth.

West Hartford state legislators joined Catherine Smith, Commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), at a recent jobs forum in town.

Representative Brian Becker states, "The programs include those involving a combination of low-interest loans and grants that can be used for acquiring machinery and equipment, construction and leasehold improvements, training, marketing and working capital. Any business people who have questions about the programs or whether their business may qualify should contact either DECD directly or any member of the West Hartford legislative delegation."

The event was co-sponsored by the town, the Park Road Association, the Chamber of Commerce, the Elmwood Business Association, Blue Back Square, the Home Design District and the West Hartford Center Merchants.
