"For that part of my life that occurs after work, I will instead focus my efforts on one thing that includes youth, sport, art, scholarship, internationalism, and peace. For me that's very exciting, and frankly a gift and an opportunity I had to take," said Brennan.

The World Youth Peace Summit will involve thousands of student athletes and artists from around the world. It will include peace lectures given by many notable figures, including former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell and Nobel Laureate Jody Williams. Each student participant will have their own "Pathways to Peace" initiative which they will bring back to their own community.
