Saint Brigid Student Meets 2013 Miss USA!

Recently, Saint James Church in West Hartford was the host site for a small “Meet & Greet” for 2013’s Miss USA Erin Brady.  An unexpected last minute invitation from a “friend of a friend” landed Bloomfield resident, 11-year-old Evan Thompson in the front row directly facing Brady.

Luckily for Evan he was the only boy in attendance. Evan was there with his mother. Well, Miss U.S.A. took note of that fact and personally welcomed Evan, took several photographs with him, and then complimented him for bravely sitting so close to her. To Evan’s delight, Brady also gave Evan a signed photo of herself writing, “To Evan Thompson with lots of love.”  It was a chance meeting and definitely one that Evan will always remember.

Miss U.S.A. is from Portland, Connecticut and was in town to do a few personal appearances, and see family and friends. Before winning the title of Miss U.S.A., Brady worked as an accountant at Prudential Financial in Hartford.
