Incredible! Saint Brigid's (SBS) athletic department under the leadership of Fernando Morales is absolutely moving in the right direction.
In particular, SBS' girls junior varsity "B" team basketball players started the 2013/2014 season with gusto by trouncing all of their competition.
On Sunday, February 9, 2014, St. Brigid's girls junior varsity "B" team won for the second time at Saint Paul's School in Kensington. Led by coaches and SBS parents, Maritza Colon-Henry and Jeffrey Henry, SBS rolled over Simsbury's Saint Mary's School; winning 9 to 4.

This is the first time in several years, that Saint Brigid School has a girls junior varsity basketball team. More importantly, after Sunday's game, the girls are now undefeated and the division champions.
"It's amazing what our girls' basketball team has accomplished in such a short period of time. We're so thankful to both our parent-coaches for their unyeilding commitment to developing an outstanding girls basketball program," stated Principal Shevon Hickey.
