St. Brigid Church's Knights of Columbus Free Throw Basketball Challenge

West Hartford - Instead of sleeping late Saturday, February 1, two Saint Brigid School students Eric West and Evan Thompson, participated in Saint Brigid Church's Knights of Columbus "Free Throw Basketball Championship" competition.

Well, congratulations are due to 12-year-old seventh-grader Eric West and 11-year-old sixth-grader Evan Thompson, for advancing from the council to the district level of competition in their respective age groups.

From there, winners move onto the regional level and thereafter onto the statewide competition; where hopefully, they will be knighted as winners of their age division.

Thompson hit an impressive 10 out of 15 free throws, while West scored a valuable 5 out of 15 shots.
