St. Brigid School's Thanksgiving Prayer Service

West Hartford – On Wednesday, November 27th, in a pre-holiday celebration, Saint Brigid School’s (SBS) kindergarten and first-grade students performed a beautiful Thanksgiving prayer service.

Along with the faculty and students, grandparents, parents, friends, and extended family members were also in the audience at this lovely event.

“They’re so young, so it’s very special to watch our students as they present their Thanksgiving prayer service to everyone. This is an annual event and we look forward to it. It is indeed a blessing,” stated Principal Shevon Hickey.

“As grandparents, my husband and I, are here to support our little granddaughter Faith as well as Saint Brigid School. It was such a beautiful service. We wouldn’t have missed it for the world,” commented Paulette Jameson.

“Stephen Jameson also echoed his wife’s comments, “We’ve been here for years, supporting all of Saint Brigid’s events. First we were here to support our children and now we  are here to support our granddaughter.”

After the prayer service grandparents Ann and Roger Lagueux, along with their son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sheri-Lyn Lagueux, joined their granddaughter Amanda in the cafeteria for cupcakes and cookies.

“We love all of the Saint Brigid prayer services, but we especially love them when the children put together a special service,” stated Ann Lagueux.

Also, on-hand were SBS parent Kimari Eady, and lunchroom volunteer and parent Ruth Donaldson, and St. Brigid Church’s Ladies Guild member and SBS volunteer lunchroom monitor, Patty Vendetta, as well as a host of other parents.

Donaldson stated, “I’m always here. It’s so special to see the kids and all the great things that they do. I just love it when I get a chance to slip into the auditorium see one of their prayer services.”

“As one of the Ladies Guild’s volunteer lunch monitors, I am always here too. I agree, it is so special whenever we get a chance to see the things the children do at Saint Brigid,” added Vendetta.
