CIAC Tournament Wrap-Ups for Conard and Hall

A recap of tournament performances by West Hartford's public schools.

BOYS LACROSSE

hopes for a run at the Class L title in boys lacrosse were dashed Wednesday afternoon as the #7 seeded Chieftains fell to the #10 seeded Brien McMahon Senators by a score of 16-8.

Although Conard had the better record heading into the tournament, Brien McMahon plays in the FCIAC – a tough conference for lacrosse. Conard also came into this game down two key players on the sidelines – starting goalie Luke Rosow with mono and senior Doug Hein with an injury.

The Senators led 7-1 at the end of the first period and it looked to be a blow-out in the making, but Conard did not give up and the score was 10-4 McMahon at the half. Conard came back to score pair of goals in the third and two more in the fourth, but the Senators continued to score, too, ending Conard's season with a 16-8 victory.

Conard spread the wealth throughout the team, with each goal being scored by a different player. Jake Karas, Jackson Boisvert, Max Eanniello, John Palermo, Greg Youngstrom, Ryan Moore, Ricky Cotton, and Darius Bartolomei each put the ball in the net.
