'College Goal Sunday' Provides Assistance With Financial Aid Forms

Free seminar in West Hartford will provide assistance with this often confusing process.

On Jan. 27, 2013, students and their families can attend College Goal Sunday and work with financial aid counselors and college staff in person. The program will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Hall High School in West Hartford. 

In a single afternoon, students and their families will receive assistance filling out financial aid forms and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Students who are first generation or low income are encouraged to attend, but the program is open to any family that needs help.

Participating in College Goal Sunday gives students and families a great first step on the pathway to college. It provides an opportunity to learn about preparing for college and financial aid in a comfortable setting.

Students have the opportunity to receive help with this difficult and confusing process of financial aid. It is recommended that students register in advance on the website, www.collegegoalsundayct.org.
