Veteran Conard High School football coach Rob Cersosimo will be one of nine inducted into the Connecticut High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame this fall.
Cersosimo has been Conard's head football coach sine 1984, and he is only the second coach to serve in that capacity. The first was his father-in-law, Bob McKee, in whose honor the stadium is named.
"We are extremely proud and very fortunate to have Rob as our head coach. Rob has had a positive influence on thousands of student athletes," said West Hartford Public Schools Athletic Director Betty Remigino-Knapp in an email.
Cersosimo, now in his 29th season, is one of the winningest coaches in state history with 180 football victories.
Cersosimo will be honored at a dinner at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville on Nov. 15.
