CyberCompass to Host Internet Awareness Session

CyberCompass, the West Hartford Internet Awareness Initiative now in its fourth year, is pleased to announce an upcoming event for West Hartford parents.

This informative program is sponsored by the PTOs at Bristow, King Philip, and Sedgwick Middle Schools, Conard and Hall High Schools, along with the West Hartford Board of Education Departments of Library Media Services and Physical Education and Health.

The Jan. 30 presentation titled “Parent Choices…How Connected Are You?” will be held in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Follow-up small group parent sessions are planned for future dates based on input received on the evening of Jan. 30.

Abigail Sullivan Moore, journalist, West Hartford parent and author of The iConnected Parent, is the guest speaker for the evening. Guiding questions will include:

  • Am I really “that” parent?
  • How does technology fit in our family?
