Exploring the Ancient Origins of Judaic Art with Dr. Richard Freund

Please join Beth El Temple for their last Friday Night Forum.  Nurture your soul at a late Shabbat Evening service on Friday May 4th followed by an intellectually stimulating presentation on exploring the ancient origins of Judaic art with Dr. Richard Freund. 

Dr. Freund is the Maurice Greenberg Professor of History at the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford.  On behalf of the University, he has directed seven archeological projects in Israel and three in Europe.  He has appeared in 16 television documentaries on archeology and ancient religion, including the 2011 National Geographic special, “Finding Atlantis”.  Dr. Freund just completed a new book “Digging Through History: Archeology and Religion from Atlantis to the Holocaust” that will be released in 2012.
