Kitchen Planning Guidelines and Trends

Kitchen + Bath | Design + Construction Owner Lorey Cavanaugh, a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer, will be leading continuing education seminars for the towns of West Hartford and Farmington at her West Hartford Showroom located at 13 Sedgwick Road. Bathroom Planning Guidelines will be offered on Thursday, September 27 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Kitchen Planning Guidelines and Trends, a two-part seminar, will be offered Thursday nights, October 4th and 11th also from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Space is limited.  To register for these interactive and informative seminars, please contact the West Hartford Continuing Education Department at (860) 561-6900 or the Farmington Continuing Education Department at (860) 404-0290.

 Cavanaugh has noted an increase in people looking to upgrade their existing homes through a kitchen or bath remodel rather than risk putting it on the market, and then trying to find a residence that meets their personal definition of  “dream home”.  According to Ms. Cavanaugh, “Many people have wanted, or needed to, remodel their kitchens and or baths for sometime but were feeling the weight of all the bad economic news.”  Lorey goes on to say, “Investing in existing homes with properly planned and executed remodeling projects is still a great investment – both for resale, and certainly, for improved quality of life while in the home.”
