Saint Joseph College Presents Free Financial Literacy Seminar: Borrowing Basics

Join us on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in The Bruyette Athenaeum’s Hoffman Auditorium located on the College’s West Hartford campus at 1678 Asylum Avenue. Understanding the options and costs associated with using money that’s not your own can help you now and throughout life.  Farmington Bank’s Financial Ed Team will give you valuable financial insights to help you make the best decisions about borrowing money. Whether you seek funding to pay for college, purchase a car, rent an apartment, finance a home, or start your own business, the Farmington Bank Financial Ed Team, in partnership with Saint Joseph College, will give you the financial know-how you need. A reception will follow the presentation. Admission to the event is free of charge and open to the general public. To reserve your seat, contact Margit Bobman, in the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies, at 860.231.5761 or mbobman@sjc.edu.

Borrowing Basics will feature members of Farmington Bank Financial Education Team. “The Farmington Bank Community Foundation is proud to sponsor this important financial literacy series at Saint Joseph College,” said Michael Schweighoffer, president of the Farmington Bank Community Foundation and executive vice president, chief risk officer of Farmington Bank.  “In addition to our sponsorship, Farmington Bank employees who are serving as financial advisors on April 11 represent the Bank’s commitment to impactful volunteer service in the communities we serve.”
