Jen Ros, graduating senior at was presented with the Excellence in Citizenship award by Denise Merrill, Secretary of the State at a ceremony at Hall on Monday. She was honored for her active participation in civic community activities, good scholarship and school involvement.
Ros is the Hall's student representative to the West Hartford Board of Education.
The Office of the Secretary of the State annually sponsors the Excellence in Citizenship Awards to recognize outstanding young people throughout Connecticut who are active participants in their community and their school.
The award is presented annually to one eighth grade student and one twelfth grade student from each participating school.
