'Hello! West Hartford' To Hold Kick-Off Meeting Tuesday

Organization which celebrates West Hartford's cultural diversity is encouraging new participants.

Hello! West Hartford will be holding their fall kick off meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. in room 422A at . 

The organization is encouraging attendance by newcomers, or those just curious. "The Year in Review" celebration in the spring had over 400 people participate.

Hello! West Hartford is a project of West Hartford's Community Connections group, a town-wide initiative to build bridges between the different cultures represented in the town. There are currently 68 different languages spoken by children enrolled in West Hartford Public Schools.

According to the organization's website, "Put simply, it is saying 'Hello' and 'Welcome' to each other in one of the many languages spoken by West Hartford residents. There will be a different host and language chosen for each month."

Hello! West Hartford is hoping to increase its presence in the town and continue to promote the amazing cultural diversity of West Hartford.
