West Hartford Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Karen List announced Friday that Jasdeep Singh, who is currently a science teacher at Sedgwick Middle School, will become an interim assistant principal at Hall High School beginning Oct. 3.
Singh will move into the position being vacated by Tom Einhorn, who is taking over as interim principal when Dr. Donald Slater leaves to become chief operating officer for Hartford Public Schools at the end of September.
The release issued Friday by West Hartford Public Schools lists Singh's accomplishments as including leadership roles with "SST, SRBI, anti-bullying, technology, and science curriculum revision."
Singh is a graduate of the district's Leadership Academy and has served adminstrative internships at Sedgwick, Whiting Lane, and the Connecticut International Baccalaureate Academy in East Hartford.
Singh has also served as Executive VP of the WHEA.
According to the release, Singh received his BS and MA from the University of Connecticut, completed his administrative requirements at the University of Hartford, and just had his doctoral proposal approved at UofH.
"Mr. Singh's enthusiasm, strong communication skills, eagerness to support the learning of all students and excellent rapport with parents will serve the Hall community well," said List.
