Kingswood Oxford Named 'Best Private School'
The West Hartford private secondary school has received this distinction from Hartford Magazine for the past five years.
With more votes than ever before being cast in the 2013 Hartford Magazine "Best of" contest, Kingswood Oxford revealed that it has once again been chosen as the "Best Private School."
Head of School Dennis Bisgaard posted the following quote in an announcement on West Hartford Patch: “We are thrilled to win this important award again this year, and we know we have our loyal alumni, families, and friends to thank for it,” said Bisgaard. “Awards like these reinforce our sense of community and remind us all why we are so proud to be Wyverns."
A partial list of 2013 winners is available online, with the remainder appearing in the May 2013 print edition.
Kingswood Oxford's mascot, KO KO the Wyvern, also won a "Best" award recently. The Wyvern won the "USA Today Most Unique Mascot" for Connecticut and the region, and garnered nearly 1.8 million votes to take third place in the national contest.
