Northwest Catholic Softball Helps Relay for Life

Members of the Northwest Catholic High School softball team volunteered at the Berlin Relay for Life May 17-18 at the Berlin Fairgrounds, under the direction of NWC coach and Berlin resident Kate Mayer.

Mayer was the Luminaria Chair and the players helped decorate and assemble the Luminaria bags for the moving ceremony Friday night.

The Northwest Catholic softball team has annually performed at least one communty service project since Mayer became the coach. Last year the team put on a "Pink Out" softball game to benefit breast cancer. The baseball team was also recruited to participate in the "Pink Out" game.
