The girls soccer team remained undefeated and unscored upon in three games after scoring a 2-0 win over previously unbeaten Southington Wednesday in a CCC West game.
Northwest goalkeeper Becca Sierejko made five saves to record her third shutout.
The Indians scored 25 minutes into the first half on a goal by Maddie Borowiec off a free kick.

“Borowiec converted the header off a cross from [Jessica] Fontaine,” Northwest coach Todd Sadler said.
Michelle Medina scored the second goal with Annie Higgins providing the set-up.

“Southington (3-1) put a lot of pressure on the ball and was dangerous on the counter with Erica Kosienski on top,” Sadler said. “Our backs did a great job. Cathy Higgins and Maggie Rose were busy with her all game.”
