West Hartford School Dismissing Early

The National Weather Service expects heavy snow will begin to fall by mid-morning, with a 2- to 4-inch accumulation on the ground by the start of the afternoon hour.

West Hartford Public Schools will be closing early today due to heavy snow, which is forecast to fall into the evening. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 7 a.m. through 6 p.m. Tuesday and predicts 3 to 5 inches for West Hartford. 

The schools will follow the following emergency closing schedule:

High Schools will dismiss at 11 a.m., middle schools 11:45 a.m., and elementary schools at 1 p.m..
