West Hartford Student Wins Safe Driving Scholarship

Allison Bellucci, Hall student in Dan DeCourcy’s Graphic Communication class, recently won a $2,000 scholarship from Carter Mario Injury Lawyers.

The contest entitled “Arrive Alive” was open to any Connecticut graduating senior. Each applicant was asked to prepare a video on making the right choices while behind the wheel, focusing on the dangers of distracted driving by teens and drunk driving.

Allie produced a video using several languages depicting the universal issues of safe driving.

Ten winners were selected from more than 250 entries.

The focus of the Arrive Alive Scholarship presented by Carter Mario Injury Lawyers is the only scholarship program of its kind in Connecticut. Since the program's inception in2006, Carter Mario Injury Lawyers has awarded over $64,000 in scholarship money to 63 graduating high school seniors in Connecticut.
