When and how did your business get started?

I became a Health Coach in 2011 after my own illness from a certain ingredient in food. This ingredient attacked my body to the point that I had symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. I removed the toxic ingredient, and within two weeks I was back to normal. From that experience, I knew that I needed to help people from becoming unnecessarily ill. I focus on helping families to remove dangerous toxic chemicals from the home. They are in everything from our personal care products, cleaning products, even the food we eat! These chemicals are related to everything from weight gain, mood disorders to reproductive issues and cancer. By making small changes and switching out our products for safer ones, we can prevent illness and live a happy, healthy life!     

Why did you choose the town you chose to start your business in?

I moved to West Hartford last year from Danbury and there is much more a sense of community here! I wouldn't have it any other way! :-)    

What is your business best known for?

I have recently been branded by others as The Toxic Ninja! (and yes, I grabbed that domain name for future use!) I am the only Health Coach in the area that focuses on helping people remove toxic chemicals from their homes. It is a HUGE piece of preventative health that is missing!

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?    

Who knew that lawn pesticides and artificial colors in food are linked to autism and ADD in children? Who knew that ingredients in our deodorants are linked to depression and breast cancer? Who knew that artificial sweeteners can mimic MS? I knew because I lived it! That is why I do what I do... that is where my passion comes from! But, most importantly, who knows that there are safer alternatives to everything that you use today or even where to begin on removing these toxic chemicals? That is what I help people find... to make an easy transition to toxic-free living!

I have pretty much an on-going special where I do a home audit to see where toxic chemicals may be in your home. You may be surprised!
