Conard Girls Basketball Hosts Alumni Weekend in West Hartford
Event culminates with a 50-49 Chieftains' victory over the alums.
The Conard girls basketball team held its second annual Alumni Weekend on Dec. 30 and 31 in which almost 20 graduates participated.
Monday's game against Bristol Central, a 38-34 Ram victory, was the Alumni Night where the former players took in the contest and then met with the current Chieftains at the conclusion of the game.
On Tuesday, the Alumni Game was played - with the the varsity and junior varsity team rallying to defeat the alums in overtime 50-49.

Junior Shelly Rodgers drained a three-point shot to tie the game with under a minute to play in regulation and forced the 3-minute overtime period.
The Chieftains hold a 2-0 lead over the alumni in their head-to-head battle that started last January.
