Autism Families CONNECTicut Family Swim

Pool time in the winter without getting on a plane?  It's like a vacation without leaving town!  

AFC families are invited to spend Saturday afternoons in March enjoying the warm water and sunshine flowing through the tall windows of the dazzling pool at Avery Heights in Hartford.

Autism Families CONNECTicut, the Marjory Doty Aquatic Center at Avery Heights, and West Hartford's Human and Leisure Service's Special Needs Program are sponsoring this program for families of children living with autism to enjoy this modern pool facility on the campus of Avery Heights.

Swim time is 3:00-4:00pm, with facility available for changing 30 minutes before and after.  Cost: $16 per participant (including children and all adults), which includes all four sessions.  Certified lifeguard will be on duty, but parents must stay with their children.  Children must be toilet trained - no diapers please.  Avery Heights is located on the Hartford/West Hartford line with free parking onsite.
