Mandell JCC Goes for the Gold with Swim-A-Palooza for Special Olympics CT

Grab a bathing suit and swim cap and dive into the Mandell JCC’s Swim-A-Palooza on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at The Swim & Tennis Club, 4 Duncaster Road, Bloomfield, CT.  Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics CT.

Organized by the Mandell JCC Sharks Swim Team as a community service project in support of the Special Olympics CT, Swim-A-Palooza participants will have the option of swimming for a half hour or longer during the event and enjoy other activities at The Swim & Tennis Club.

“The JCC has done a wonderful job of cultivating a philanthropic attitude amid our members. And now we have a chance for some of our most dedicated athletes – our swim team – to make a difference for Special Olympians in an Olympic year,” Andy Katz, Event Chair, said.  “It is our honor to swim for them so that they can enjoy the benefits of daily exercise that so many of us take for granted.”
