Mandell JCC Hosts Football Clinic with Andrew Pinnock, Former NFL Player, Thursday, April 21, 2011

The Mandell JCC will host a one-day football clinic with former National Football League fullback, and Bloomfield resident, Andrew Pinnock. The clinic will run Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mandell JCC Gymnasium, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.

Mr. Pinnock has played for the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos over six seasons. At Bloomfield High School as a senior, Mr. Pinnock was named the 1998 Mr. Football for the state of Connecticut, and won both All-State and All-District honors. He is currently active in youth out reach programs specializing in leadership training and coaching football.

This half-day program will focus on drills and proper techniques of throwing, catching, route running, jump cutting, blocking, how to reduce fumbles, and a mini flag-football game. Children attending are encouraged to bring sneakers, water, and a snack.

The Andrew Pinnock Football Clinic at the Mandell JCC is for children ages 8 through 13, and all levels of playing experience are welcome. Fees for the program are $50 per person for non-members of the JCC, and $40 per person for JCC members. To register, call 860-236-4571 or visit www.mandelljcc.org.
