The Miracle League of Connecticut - Grand Wine Tasting

on Sunday, February 26th from 2 to 5 PM. 2 Fly Wines, LLC and Lyman Kitchens are teaming up to host a Grand Wine Tasting to benefit The Miracle League of Connecticut (formerly The Miracle League of Greater Hartford).

The Miracle League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing boys and girls with cognitive and/or physical challenges the opportunity to participate in baseball and other team sports in a safe and nurturing all inclusive environment. To accomplish this goal, funds are currently being raised to build a completely flat, cushioned, rubberized surface wheelchair accessible "Miracle Field" which would eliminate the inherent barriers of traditional grass and dirt fields. Once built in West Hartford, the "Miracle Field" will also be a center for community based events (i.e. movie nights, Trick or Treating, children's performances etc.) The "Miracle Field" will be the first of its kind in New England and will benefit children in the Greater Hartford region and beyond as well as provide a resource for similar adult and disabled veteran organizations. Construction of the "Miracle Field"  in West Hartford has begun and play should begin in the Summer of 2012, but funds are still needed to complete the restroom and adjacent playground facilities.
