Let the Fall Season Begin

Tryouts and preseason began for most sports in West Hartford on Saturday.

don't officially open for students until Wednesday morning, but there was a flurry of activity on the high school fields on Saturday as most fall sports officially began tryouts or preseason training.

Although football practice started on August 15 at and August 23 at , girls and boys soccer, field hockey, cross country, girls volleyball, girls swimming and diving, and cheerleading all held their first practices on Saturday.

Some teams will hold scrimmages as early as this Thursday, but the season's first date for official games/meets is Tuesday, Sept. 11.
