Quinn & Quinn Wins Jaycee-TD Bank Senior League Championship

In battle betwen two West Hartford teams, second-ranked Cricket Press loses 3-2.

West Hartford baseball was proudly on display Tuesday night as two local teams faced off for the Jaycee-TD Bank Senior Division championship game. Held under the lights at Northwest Park in Manchester, Quinn & Quinn beat Cricket Press in a hard-fought 3-2 victory.

Quinn & Quinn's roster is mostly players from l; the Cricket Press team is comprised mostly of players from . Players from are sprinkled evenly on each team.

League officials and coaches from both teams praised the players for making it to the title game in the 16-team league. This game represented the first time any West Hartford team (much less two!) had made it to the championship game in the Senior Division.

Kevin Langan was the starting pitcher for Quinn & Quinn, and he was relieved in the sixth inning by Ryder Flood. Both pitched effectively, limiting a strong hitting Cricket Press squad to only two runs.

Shane Marren pitched the entire game for Cricket Press — retiring the first 11 batters he faced and not allowing a hit until the fifth inning. Jack Wilson, of Quinn & Quinn, drove in the tying run with a double in the sixth inning and made a diving catch for the final out of the game on a line-drive by Matt Gionfriddo.
