Southington South Tournament

Game 1 – The Wahoos would have won their opening game in the Southington tournament vs. Farmington if they could have skipped the 4th inning. Game 2 – The WHLL Wahoos bounced back from a bad loss to Farmington with a solid 13-5 win over Wallingford to even their record at 1-1 in the tournament. The big blow for WH was a 3-run home run off the bat of Spencer Altman. Jeff LaRosa (3-3, HR, double, 1 run, RBI) added a solo HR in the 5th for his first career home run. Also in on the offense was Miles McCarthy-Reynolds (2-3, 2 runs, triple, RBI), Burke Martindale (2-3, 1 run, RBI) with 2 perfectly placed bunt singles and Michael Lee (1-1, 3 runs). Game 3 – WH lost a tough 8-7 game in 9 innings to Southington South to fall to 1-2 in the Southington tournament. Game 1 – Newtown 14, WH Wahoos 9

Immediately following their tough 8-7 loss to Southington South, the Wahoos hustled back to West Hartford to match up with a tough Newtown team for the second of two games on the day. He drove the first pitch he saw deep over the left field fence to keep the game alive. Joe Morrissey followed with a double off the right field fence and Joe Kitz drove him in with a single. The Wahoos added 3 in the 5th as Jeff LaRosa (2-3, 3 runs, double) doubled and was driven in on a double by Michael Mack (2-3, 2 runs, double).
