A West Hartford Neighborhood Celebrates American Inventiveness

The 34th annual parade features floats, decorated bikes, dressed-up dogs and more.

The Monclair Road neighborhood in West Hartford celebrates the Fourth of July annually with a parade that has grown from a few flags on bikes to a full-fledged demonstration of American inventiveness, which also happened to be this year's theme (along with pastimes and hobbies).

Floats included a re-creation of the Wright Brothers' plane, a WWF wrestling ring on wheels, and Fenway Park on a wagon. The parade also had a visit from a Steve Jobs look-alike, along with his IMom and IDog.
