Noah Webster House Offers Colonial Kids Camp

Children will learn how to cook their own food from the gardens.

How cool would it be to live like boys and girls did in the 1700s? Well, here's your chance. The offers a week for boys and girls to do just that. The sessions will be held July 9 through July 13; July 23 through July 27; or August 6 though August 10, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Noah Webster House and

Boys and girls will be doing activities at both the Noah Webster House and the farm at Westmoor Park. They will experience doing chores and games and help cook their lunches over an open hearth. They will explore the Noah Webster house and garden, work on crafts, play music and games, and learn Colonial songs and dances.

Then at Westmoor Park, children will care for barnyard animals, take care of the gardens and create food and crafts from the farm.
