Bridge Summer Camps

Summer is just around the corner and the Bridge has some exciting summer camps for children entering grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 in the fall.  Middle School Summer Adventure will provide young people going into grades 6, 7, and 8 with fun and adventure including games, crafts, and field trips to miniature golf, Beardsley Zoo, Lake Compounce, and the Basketball Hall of Fame.  Five week-long sessions will be offered in July and August, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Weeks offered are: July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26, August 5-9, and August 19-23.

Summer ACES (Assisting Children to Explore & Succeed) for Children Going into Grades 4 and 5 in the FallSummer ACES is for children who could use extra support to help them improve the skills needed for success in the classroom and on the playground.  The program not only teaches social skills, but also provides ways for the children to put new skills into practice through fun summer activities and field trips.  This program is for independently functioning children who do not need an extra hand to help them participate.  There are several childhood disorders that make social skills a challenge.  If a more therapeutically structured social skills program is needed, the Bridge can refer you to a program that will meet your child's needs.  Two week-long sessions will be offered  Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Weeks available are: July 29-August 2 and August 12-16.

Schedules and registration forms for both camps are available on the Bridge website at www.bridgefamilycenter.org or by calling the Bridge at 860.521.8035
