CT Gun Culture...

...and why you shouldn't listen to the media about who and what we are.

We are fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters. We are black, brown, white, etc. We are from every socio-economic class you can name.

We enjoy guns. We enjoy shooting them. We enjoy collecting them. Our Federal and State Constitutions say we are allowed to have personal guns, for our own reasons, and so we do.

We are not out to kill innocents, terrorize the populace, or use our Constitutionally-protected and legal guns as tools of crime or ill-will. The people that do such things are not worthy of owning any gun, which is more than likely illegal to begin with.

None of us laughed or applauded when Adam Lanza committed his atrocity in Sandy Hook. None of us claimed that The Second Amendment gave Adam Lanza the right to kill innocents. None of us are anything like the now very dead Adam Lanza, and we would appreciate it if you stopped comparing him to us.

Some of us conceal our guns, and some of us open-carry them. You probably were standing in front of us or behind us in any local store and didn't even know we were armed. Some of us want to show you our culture, and some of us simply want to be left alone. But not a one of us is pleased with the current gun-control legislation that is even now infringing upon all of our rights to bear arms.

We have gone through an FBI background check. We have paid numerous fees to the State. We have taken the required training needed. We are not felons, criminals, or miscreants.

We are Constitutional and legal gun owners in the State of Connecticut. And we are not going away.

Thank you for reading.
