Do You Have a Kitchen or Bathroom Desperate for Redesign?

Kitchen + Bath | Design + Construction is holding a contest for the "Ugliest Kitchen or Bathroom," with all proceeds for the entry donation going directly to the Women Build program of Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity.

, (KBDC), and Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity and are pairing up to promote Habitat’s Women Build initiative! To kick off this partnership KBDC and Hartford Area Habitat are requesting submissions to their first “Ugliest Kitchen or Bathroom” Contest which will run from now through Friday, April 27, 2012.  Winners will be chosen during the week of April 30 and notified during National “Women Build Week,” May 8-12, 2012.

The notion of female owned Kitchen + Bath | Design + Construction pairing up with the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity, specifically the Women Build Program, came about in part due to a Saturday morning design seminar series held last year by KBDC owner Lorey Cavanaugh. A $10 donation was requested to participate in each of the weekly tutorials with proceeds from the series to benefit the Women Build program.

Passionate about empowering women, Cavanaugh will again participate in the Women Build program with the launch of this first “Ugliest Kitchen or Bathroom” contest. Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program empowers women and brings them together to build networks, connections, and a home for a working family.
