Humane Society's Pet of the Week: An English Bulldog

Sammie is available for adoption at the Connecticut Humane Society in Newington.

The Connecticut Humane Society in Newington is hoping to find someone who wants to adopt Sammie, a purebred English Bulldog, and Patch's featured pet of the week.

Sammie is a 2-year-old English Bulldog that enjoys the company of older children, dogs and cats.

"Even though he's a purebred, his type of English Bulldog is not that common," Public Relations Director Alicia Wright said in an email Friday morning.
